KEEPING THINGS FAIR AND SIMPLE
We know that the Covid-19 pandemic has created uncertainty all over the world – and a lot of people are naturally hesitant about booking holidays.
Well, we have always been committed to making sure you have the best possible day on the hill, but if anything happens that’s more important than skiing, then we want everything to be as simple and stress-free as possible.
So our cancellation policy is very easy – because we have always wanted it to be as fair and transparent as possible.
Resort closure
If resort closes before you arrive we will give a full refund of the amount we have received.
And if you have already started your lessons then we will refund you on a pro-rata basis.
We want it to be that simple.
Changing your mind
We know that it’s perfectly normal to change your mind. So if you do change your mind (or if circumstances in your home nation change) then our standard terms and conditions apply. We haven’t changed them for Covid – we wrote them to be fair in any circumstance and we believe that still stands.
More than two weeks notice
We will give you a full refund of the amount paid, minus an admin fee.
This fee is calculated at 10% of the total booking, with a minimum of 50chf and a maximum of 250 chf.
Under two weeks notice
We will give you a 50% refund of the amount paid.
Under 48 hours notice
We will not be able to offer a refund. But depending on the circumstances we might be able to transfer your booking to another date.
Why do we have this cancellation policy?
Well, as ski instructors we are all paid on an hourly basis.
So that means if a lesson is cancelled and completely refunded then your ski instructor simply wouldn’t get paid.
And because when a booking comes in an instructor is effectively blocked from any other bookings coming in, if work gets cancelled at short notice it’s very difficult – if not impossible – for your instructor to get replacement work.
So our cancellation policy means that instructors will still be paid or partially paid. That means, for example, if you receive a 50% refund, we will still pay your instructor 50% of their wage.
Of course if you cancel in advance then we can still try to find more work for that instructor, so the refund is in full (minus a small admin fee).
We think it’s fair and we hope you do too.
Meanwhile, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you back in Verbier very soon.
