DAN

Dan - Private ski instructor Verbier

MEET DAN

Dan did a degree in mechanical engineering, but after a number of years working in a few different industries he discovered skiing and hasn’t looked back.

So after qualifying in Austria he went on to start teaching straight away and was an instant success.

After a few seasons in Austria he wanted a new challenge and knew some of the Element team – and he’s been a brilliant addition since he joined the ski school.

Dan is great teaching any level of client and his relaxing approach puts everyone at ease.

When he’s not helping our clients develop their skills on the mountain he has plenty to keep him busy – including cliff-jumping, sky-diving, jet-skiing, motorbiking, hiking, open water swimming a pretty much anything outdoors!

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?

“I’d have to say Carrefour for the Rostis and the stunning views, but I have to also give a mention to Dahu – another amazing restaurant with amazing service and stunning views. Plus pretty impressive pizzas.”

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?

“La Chaux. Great options for all levels of skiers – you can go to the jump park, try out the rails and race each other down the skier-cross course, plus it’s perfectly placed for you to head to Mont Fort – the very top of Verbier.”

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?

“Pub Mont Fort is definitely my favourite. A genuine cornerstone of Verbier and a brilliant atmosphere.

The Pub has been round for years so it’s popular with old seasonaires and locals as well as guests from all over the world.”

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?

“Apart from getting a ski instructor to help you get better at skiing and discover this amazing resort with us… I’d say get up to the viewing platform on Mont Fort or try paragliding.”
