MEET MAX
Max grew up in Switzerland so has been skiing since the age of two.
Growing up so near the mountains he was always skiing on weekends at his local resort in Engelberg – either with his school ski team or by begging his parents to drive him there.
After moving to the UK Max missed skiing too much so he decided to start taking his skiing more seriously by joining race teams and going on race camps all across Europe.
The next step was a Peak Leaders training course here in Verbier and has been teaching ever since.
When he’s not skiing, Max enjoys playing golf in the summer as well as going for long runs in the mountains and training at the gym (to get ready to ski even more…).

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?
“Most definitely Le Dahu in La Chaux. It boasts some pretty stunning views and the food is great, especially the Diavola Pizza. You can also access Le Dahu without having to ski to it which makes it easy for no-skiers to join lunch.”
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?
“When it comes to teaching my favourite place to take clients is in La Chaux as it offers such a wide range of pistes that suit all level of skiers.
However, when it comes to free skiing and going very fast, I love to head over to Bruson where it’s a little bit quieter and offers some really steep, challenging terrain.”
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?
“There are so many great options! I would always recommend IceCube for a drink on the. mountain before heading down. In resort Le Rouge is amazing and you can either enjoy a quiet drink and some food on the sunny terrace – or join the hard-core Après on the balcony!”
WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?
“My number 1 tip would be to explore all the ski areas the 4 Valées ski pass has to offer – such as Bruson, Savoleyres, Thyon and Nendaz (I promise it won’t disappoint)”
