SVEA

Svea - Private ski instructor Verbier

MEET SVEA

Growing up in Germany and France, Svea spent much of her childhood outdoors trying out different sports, and very quickly discovered her love of skiing.
After studying Economics and spending nearly ten years working in Investment Banking in London, Svea finally had the opportunity to fulfil her childhood dream of becoming a ski instructor and decided to go on the Peakleaders course in Verbier.

She trained with us on a Peak Leaders course and enjoyed training and teaching so much that she joined the Element team as an instructor.

When she’s not skiing (or in an office), you will find Svea travelling, kitesurfing or playing volleyball.

SOME LOCAL KNOWLEDGE:

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT?

“There’s lots of great options around Verbier, but for something a bit different I’d say try Cabane Mont Fort which is a traditional mountain hut with incredible panoramic views.”

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE SKI AREA?

“Perhaps a controversial opinion… but I do love a few laps of the M25 first thing in the morning when the piste is still perfectly groomed and empty!”

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE FOR APRES?

“Sunset drinks on the slopes at 1936 followed by Lumi is a great way to finish the day, especially if you’re into live music!”

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TIP FOR A HOLIDAY IN VERBIER?

“Beat the queues in the morning and get out early to explore the rest of the 4 Valleys, there’s tons of great skiing beyond just the Verbier area.”
